The CICA Museum Publishes “Artist Statement” Art-Book, My Work Included
by Daric Gill
After finishing out the year on display at the Czong Institute for Contemporary Art Museum in South Korea, my painting Absolute: Earnest has come home. The exhibition called Artist Statement has been published in an art-book that showcases a side-by-side documentation of the artwork and the artist’s statement. The concept behind the exhibit and the art-book is to show the connections between an artist’s work and their written philosophies. Read more below.
It is my extreme pleasure to announce that Absolute: Earnest has been accepted for exhibition at the Czong Institute for Contemporary Art Museum in South Korea. During the months of October & November, my work will be included among other international artists in Artist Statement, an exhibition that triumphs the connections between an artist’s work and their written philosophies. In addition to the exhibition, an art-book will be published that will showcase a side-by-side documentation of the artwork and the artist’s statement. Read more about the exhibition below.
The Pizzuti Collection Displays ‘Art For Life’ Artwork
by Daric Gill
If you are familiar with the Pizzuti Collection in any way, you’ll know that they are a powerhouse in the world of contemporary art collections. Situated in the Short North Arts District next to the Goodale Park, the Pizzuti Collection museum houses a rotating collection of privately owned works of art from around the globe. This year they’ve partnered up with the great people at Equitas Health for the biennial Art For Life benefit. Together they will present the 2016 Art for Life event and fund ventures that will support both AIDS research and youth arts education. I’ve taken part in this cause in the past, but I’m especially excited for this newly struck partnership and the added benefits it provides.
